What they're saying

Listen to what a few chorus members from our chorus and from around the country have to say about being in orgnazations like ours:

Being a Sweet Adeline has meant enrichment in my music. Sweet Adelines has given me so much knowledge on the art of singing. The coaching and classes that are given thru the organization bring education that one would have to spend years of lessons and classes on. There is nowhere better that you can get the knowledge and information than from being in a chorus. The Dogwood Blossoms Chorus has given me so much warmth and friendship. This chorus is a family that is true to one another and healthy in relationships. Other than God and family there is nothing that compares to what you receive when being in a chorus of this caliber… friendship-wise. Friendship and harmony truly are what this chorus is about.

Donna Dudgeon, Dogwood Blossoms Chorus

I am a long-time member of the Dogwood Blossoms Chapter of Sweet Adelines International. The ladies of our chorus are a second family to me. We sing, laugh, cry, play, pray, eat, travel and share together.  Our chorus is small; therefore, we know each other very well. We have a very wide range of ages in our membership which gives me many sisters and some daughters and granddaughters!  This makes us a “family in harmony”. Membership in a Sweet Adeline chorus is extremely uplifting and healing at the same time. I have sung for as long as I can remember; singing barbershop harmony is challenging and continually improves my level of vocal ability. This challenge also keeps my mind working and focused, and as I age, that is a huge blessing. All this being said… I LOVE BEING A SWEET ADELINE!!!

Dixie Waite, Dogwood Blossoms Chorus

I enjoy the fun and fellowship of the ladies, and the beautiful music. Many of the members in my group I have known for years and feel comfortable singing with them. I consider my time with them to be much needed therapy!
Robin Smith, Tri City Sound Chorus

I am so happy to have found Sweet Adelines and am telling all my sisters about the fun we have and the lovely ladies I have met so far.

Cindy Phair, Suncoast Harmony Chapter

I wish I had done it 20 years ago.
Rosemary Trimpe, Grand Rapids Chorus

I have made so many wonderful new friends and the music runs through my head 24/7.
Carole Ann Richards, Cincinnati Sound Chorus

Singing is the best therapy for lifting spirits. The music creates a positive healing flow of energy from one person to another and it is a very powerful tool in creating stable mental and physical health. Music is known to reduce stress and balance the spirit.
Susan Swertfager, South Valley Sound Chorus

I'm a part of an awesome group of ladies. They work really hard at each rehearsal, but they have so much fun at the same time.
Patti Bade, Spirit of Harmony Chorus
